Wilderness Building Venture Photos

In a nuts shell: We moved to our wilderness property in 1986.  We first lived in a trailer then moved to the little cabin while Randy built the log home.  It took three years to build the log home and only cost $40,000.00.  All the building was done without electricity, since there was no electricity to be had.  Randy used a chain saw to cut the logs and boards.  He could cut those boards and logs with great precision.  Good practice for working on teeth.  Our friend loaned us his Volkswagen chain saw mill to cut our lumbar.  Randy also used a band saw mill to cut the cedar boards.    We moved into the log home a month before Stuart was born in October 1993.  We built the 4000 sq ft log home all without permits.  Randy checked with the county about permits.  They laughed at him and said "You must be from California."
